Did you get to keep the bible? (I mean, did they really intend to sell such a beautiful and personal book?) Yes, I remember Doris Day and we still have Calamity Jane on video!Bovey Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13117332471600275100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37303412.post-68756054809144897472009-09-01T16:30:34.182-04:002009-09-01T16:30:34.182-04:00OH MY! The years go by waaay too fast!

Of course I remember the lovely Doris Day. "Que Sera, Sera" comes from the Alfred Hitchcock thriller "The Man Who Knew Too Much," also starring Jimmy Stewart. If you've never seen it, grab a copy from the library. It's a classic!Mom2furhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09919967314390699344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37303412.post-74440335588041117602009-08-25T18:05:33.748-04:002009-08-25T18:05:33.748-04:00What super finds and I love the all those patterns...What super finds and I love the all those patterns...Awesome too that they are in your size.Judy https://www.blogger.com/profile/07886053115520735923noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37303412.post-70895612283408128542009-08-25T16:13:30.246-04:002009-08-25T16:13:30.246-04:00Thanks for visiting me! I alway get a little sad at estate sales because I know that the person or person to who these things belonged to is now gone. I do though, always buy something and each time I use it, I think of them and who they were and what did they do, etc. ::sigh::
On another note, as for the chile preserving. You know what I do? I was them and separate the diffeent types of chili, dry them and put the different kinds of chili in their own small sandwich bags and then I put all the bags in a huge 12 gallon plastic bag. (restuarant type bags) I freeze them just like that. They are good as ever when unfrozen and I do the same with tomatoes, bell peppers (I do slice these). Freeze your cayenne, they'll be okay. On the tomatoes, they can only be used for sauces, soups etc. Not good for sandwiches when unfrozen. Try it. Thanks for stopping by my blog.GlorV1https://www.blogger.com/profile/06789212398770555465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37303412.post-26247211343600674962009-08-25T14:01:21.441-04:002009-08-25T14:01:21.441-04:00Hi Linda, I have been thinking of you and there yo...Hi Linda, I have been thinking of you and there you are on my comments today. Our grandson is starting his senior year too. Yugwie is so handsome and I would be proud of him too. I as thinking of him eating the plum preserves just the way Bill ate that bag of nuts you sent. LOL. Like there was no tomorrow

Your estate sale purchases are terrific. I love Doris Day too. the pixie items are adorable and that one little guy could be an elf maybe. I've been a HUGE fan of hers since I was a little girl. I loved the movie, Glass Bottom Boat. Remember that one? What a cool Bible! And your doll, well, I'm going with elf. It would be cute for a retro Christmas decoration.

Your son is very handsome. I like his strat guitar in the prior post.
