How does your garden grow??

T.G.I.F!!!! We made it!  It's Friday!

Have any of y'all been gardening yet?  I know some of you way up north like KimK are probably just seeing green grass!
Here is a view of my greenhouse.  Those tomatoes are getting beyond ready to be planted.  They are heading outside tonight to start the "hardening off" process and I will get them in the ground in a couple of weeks.
Do you know what plant this is?  It's an artichoke!  I have never planted artichokes before, but I love them and decided to give them a try this year.
These bad boys are going in the garden this weekend.  They are leeks!  I have never grown leeks before either but I do like them in soups.
These are the cutest tomato plants ever.  They are called Mini-belles.  The plant doesn't get very large and the tomatoes are cherry tomatoes.  I can't wait to see how this produces.
Meanwhile, the early crops are doing well in the garden.  I have 5 kinds of radish, 4 kinds of lettuce, kale, spinach, and onions.  The potatoes are being grown in wooden bins that you see at the side.
Isn't this lettuce so pretty?
Guess what I am having for lunch today?  Salad from my garden.  These are very small radishes that I pulled when I was thinning them yesterday.

This weekend is our towns annual Dogwood Festival and Dear Husband and Yngwie are pulling their boats through the parade.  They are part of a club called Classic Hot Boats and when they heard the town was having a hard time finding participants for the parade, they decided to join it.
This is Dear Husbands boat.  I like them well enough on land, but it really scares me when they race them.  I'm biting my nails until they are back on the trailers!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Blessings

Linda

Your garden and greenhouse is just wonderful. I'm new to gardening, and so you inspire me. I lived in the desert for 25 years, and so this new mountain home is much colder. It is finally warm. I've been watching my farmer neighbors for clues...it's time to plant. I have 3 raised beds so far! Happy weekend!

Your garden greenhouse is fabulous. I'm envious of your beautiful plantings. I'm so ready for summer gardening!!

Linda, your garden is absolutely magnificent!! I am jealous because apparently I come from the side of the family with no growing skills whatsoever. I've tried, multiple times, to start a garden like that - to no avail!!

Linda your greenhouse is beautiful! I want one so badly, maybe next year for us. Your veggies look so healthy. Do you end up having to pull lots of weeds? I hate that part of having a garden. Cool boat, looks like a racer. :)

I am SO jealous, Linda. That really does look so wonderful to be out and able to garden like that. We still have freezing temps at night and NOTHING blooming yet- xo Diana
