Garden Pics

Good Morning!
I thought maybe I would show you a few more pics of my gardens today.

The giant bush is a Hybiscus. When I was given this plant 20 years ago, I was told I would have to move this plant inside during the winter as they are a tropical plant and would not withstand Virginia winters. Hogwash! I said. This giant has been blooming every summer since I got it and has also withstood my moving it to several locations in my garden (musical plants again).
This sunflower growing in the veggie garden is lazy. It refuses to stand up and greet the sun. Oh well, there are a few in every crowd.
This is the first year for this deep purple morning glory that is growing up one on my plant stakes. I love the color.

But this is my favorite. The water lilly in my pond opened this week. It only lasts a couple of days, but is so beautiful in the pond.
Oh by the way, my mother in law is doing so much better! The doctor said she could drive now and only has to have the oxygen during the night. She is getting some color back in her face and is putting on some weight. Praise God for her continued recovery!
Have a blessed day,

Linda

Hi Linda!

Thank you for your lovely comment you just left on my blog! I am always so happy when you have passed by and left some very nice words!

A water lily! Now I envy you!!! How lovely!

I am in a hurry, it's pottery time tonight! I am now working on some tiles with garden poems, can't wait to bring them home (and show them on my blog, of course).

Our fist sunflower opened its blossom today, it's the first one this summer!

Have a wonderful day!

Best wishes,
Anita

Hello dear Linda:-) I'm back from my trip and now playing catch up with everyone!! Your flowers are doing so well, they're just gorgeous! I laughed at the sunflower...I have one that I had to tie up because it was drooping down so much. I would so love my own little pond one day:-) The water lilies always bring special memories of my dad...as a child we had a little cottage and dad would always pick a water lily to put in my hair whenever he'd go fishing!! xox

Your garden is beautiful! I wish I had that ability/talent! I keep seeing all these wonderful gardens all over blogland--I'm getting just a tad bit envious! I may just have to jump in and give it a real try next year. It will take me till spring to figure out what I want to do! :-)

Linda-I just planted a hardy hibiscus aka Swamp Rose Mallow and if that's how big it grows, then I will also be playing musical plants. I have a picture of it on my blog, it may be the same plant as yours. Love the water lilies.

Love that deep color on the morning glory. My folks have always had several hibiscus in Florida. The are such lush plants; and yours seems quite happy in Virginia. :o)
