It's almost Spring???!!!

Well, I thought it was almost spring. My hyacinths and tulips have started coming up and the grass at the edges of the roads were getting green, then an amazing thing happened this weekend. IT SNOWED!!
We haven't had any measurable snow for several years now and yesterday it snowed most of the day but the temps were over freezing so there was not much accumulation.
Last night I was awoken by sleet hitting the bedroom window and I thought "oh no, ice" but sometime during the early morning hours it started snowing again and we had 6 inches!

Of course school is cancelled in the south if just one flake flies, but DH and I slipped and slid on into work without any problems.

I had bought some onion sets Friday with plans on getting them into the ground on Saturday, but it rained all day and now we have snow. But in Virginia if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute and it will change. This weekend we are supposed to be in the upper 60's!

I am so enjoying this snow! One last hurrah for Old Man Winter. (I hope!)

It's just that time of year - you never know from moment to moment. Today started clear, warm and bright. Now the clouds have colored the sky grey, the temps have dropped and rain will be here any time *s* Ahhh March!

Glad you got to work safely...here the roads were fine. It was kind of neat to see some snow as it was the first we had seen this winter. Only three more weeks of winter!!hurray....our flowers are up and the trees are budding here so I am ready for the warmer weather.

Hello Linda, it has been too long since I said hello. I do hope your snow is over but you never can tell. We are so stuck here when it snows and then freezes. Our drive is paved but steep. There are times when get down and can't get back up. So we stay put.

It was 15 and 17 the last two nights. Brrr. We are looking for some weather to warm up for a week anyway.

Take care and get those onions in. Smile.

Hugs...Jeanne.

She comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, so they say. Time will tell about that. T
oday we have already had every imaginable kind of weather. Cloudy, rain, snow, sleet, hail and sunshine.
I hope you can enjoy your snow while it lasts. I'm sure you are more than ready to get to the garden. I know I am!

what a treat for 'you-all'! We had 70 degrees today and it's 10:00 pm and still 67. I have crocuses coming up in my new yard! Yay.

Hi, Linda!

Wow, you got a lot of snow! We only got about an inch of icy snow. It was perfect for sledding though! But now of course it's warmed up yet again! I got hot last night and had to change comforters! ♥
