I'm Still Alive!

Sorry for the neglected blog. I took 4 days off for Spring break with Yngwie and we were so busy, I didn't even think about blogging!

Things are blooming around the house and that makes me happy! I love spring flowers! My hyacinths are gorgeous this year! I love the waxy look of the blooms and one bloom in your house will scent the whole house with a sweet scent.

This year the Easter Bunny left me an early surprise! I went out to the pool garden the Saturday before Easter and look what I found waiting! The Easter Bunny sure knows me pretty well. Chocolate and flowers! Wow!
I have begun planting in the Peter Rabbit garden and will try to get pictures soon. So far I have planted radishes, lettuce, and spinach in the PR garden, I still want to put in some carrots and some herbs, but it's too early yet for them. In the "big" veggie garden we have planted spinach, lettuce, radishes, beets, turnips, and onions. Yngwie has repaired the electric fence and we are good to go. It will be a couple more weeks before I will be able to plant anything else.

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!
Linda

I'm waiting for a 'big' rain that's supposed to push through today and tomorrow. That should get the ground just right for some planting this weekend. I just love the idea of a Peter Rabbit garden *sweet*

Your flowers look beautiful and it sounds like you are really ahead on your gardening. I'm really happy for you. Let's hope that the season is productive this year for the veggies too. I felt like mine didn't do as well as they could have last year. We've definitely had a lot more rain this Spring, though.

What a lovely Easter Bunny surprise!! Think your hunney bunny could give my hunny bunny some tips?? :D BTW, I'm originally from Blacksburg, VA, and have a niece who is just outside of Roanoke. :) I love stumbling across blogs that are 'near to home'. :D

Oh Wow!!! Your plants are so pretty--I love the first picture--and so wish I could garden with much success. I always feel bad when I start to garden--not for me, but for the plant...LOL

I love Hyacinths too, and have some in planters outside, and I always grow some at Christmas - the perfume fills the room. Pansies have such happy little faces too. I love the sound of your PR garden!

Thanks so much for stopping by my show and tell this week. If you want to know more about the purple shoes, I linked to the previous story. They have been such fun.

Come back any time!

I love how you have planted your Hyacinth's together. The colors are so pretty. I want to do it now.
It was sure nice of the bunny to leave you such a nice surprise. Those pansie's are so cheerful looking and I bet the chocolate made you feel cheerful too.
