Week before last I showed you some vintage patterns that I had bought at an estate sale. Today I am showing you a couple of the things that I have made from my patterns.
Here is my vintage Midge wearing the evening gown shown in the lower right corner of the pattern. I love how it turned out, but I'm thinking its needs "something" but I'm not sure what. Any suggestions? I love these patriotic angels! This pattern came from one of the Better Homes and Gardens Christmas books. Of course their angels were Christmas angels, but I thought wouldn't patriotic angels be cool for Independence Day! I have 6 more ready to be cut out. I can see Halloween angels, Thanksgiving angels, pink angels, etc... See the pretty lacy trim on the bottom of their dresses? I bought a HUGE bag (like a comforter comes in) at the Goodwill for $2.00! I get so excited over a good deal.We are headed to Lexington, NC this weekend to watch some boat racing.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Blessings
Linda

You sure are talented! I tell myself I would be without children, but I think it is an excuse.
Happy weekend.

Midge looks so chic! And those patriotic angels are adorable. Very sweet.

I have always thought it would be fun to make clothes for Barbie's but have never tried it because of their small pieces. Any advice, because you obviously have a talent.

Hi, Linda! Maybe midge needs a new hair- doo and some jewelery?
What a score on the lace!
Have fun this week end.
I answered your guitar party question on my blog. ♥
Midge! I thought I was the only person that remembers Midge *s*
Why don't you add a flower over her left breast?
Love you blog, it's always so fun!

The patriotic angels are cute. What a great idea.
They are so cute all dressed up! Midge's dress reminds me of some of the Barbie clothes my mother made for my daughters when they were little.
How about adding some lace on the lavender dress, or a lace shawl?
Katherine
Have fun at boat racing!!!
The angels are great.
happy Sunday
Have a great week
Love, Jess
I rmember those Barbie patterns!!! And I remember Midge too! Thanks for the cute post.
I love your vintage Midge and I think the dress turned out just perfect! Thank you for entering my give away. I just happened on to those spreaders in a flea market. It wasn't even a booth that sold Fiesta Ware. Maybe you could find a set on ebay or maybe you'll win my give away! Good luck! Have a nice day! Twyla
Hi Linda,
My Uncle Sam is old - got it years and years ago in a shop that has been long gone. Sorry!
Have fun in Lexington, NC. I went to Bob TImberlake's Gallery there a few times. In fact, the picture of me I use as my profile pic was taken there awhile ago.
Have a great weekend!
hugs, Linda
You did a greaat job on this little dress! How about a ribbon around the waist? Sharon
Thank you for commenting on my first post!
I think a ribbon tied around Midge's waist would be cute!
Lindsey
Love your crafts! I would add to Midge's gown a flower at either the waist or shoulder.
Thanks for sharing!
God bless,
Mrs.T
What a good job you did! I use to make these when my daughter was little. Along time ago.
