The end of summer

I can't believe that summer is almost over! To me it seems it just started. Yngwie will soon be going back to school for his last year of high school. A SENIOR! I can't believe it! It was just yesterday that I dropped him off for his first day of kindergarden. He had his Toy Story lunch box and a little lamb cut out tied around his neck with his room number on it. The teachers aid met him at the car and took him to his rooom. I drove a mile down the road, pulled over to the side and cried for a good 10 minutes! When I picked him up he was so excited! He had a best friend named Garrett! 13 years later he and Garrett are still best friends, and while they will be heading off in different directions for college next year, I bet they will always remain friends.

I am getting excited that fall will soon be arriving. I love the colors of the leaves, the mist and nip of a cool morning, and the smell of a woodfire. I found some really cool Halloween fabric when I was at the beach and decided to make a purse. I really like how it turned out. I kinda just made up the pattern as I went along. I love the "BOO" fabric!

I am making some pumpkins from the new Create and Decorate, but have to make a trip to the store for more felt before I can finish them. If you love crafts and fall, the fall issue is great!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hey Linda,
Thanks for dropping by my blog....it's so nice to meet you. I've been scrolling the pages of your blog and it's so fun and pretty too! I was reading this post, and I know this Senior year is gonna go by so fast, for your son.... I'll tell you...our "rocker" son graduated this past school year, and the senior year flew by. It was a bitter sweet year...filled with laughter and tears of joy, though I must admit..... it's hard to see the babies grow up, but all at the same time....it's such a blessing to see the wonderful person they turned out to be too. It's sometimes hard, but I am learning to embrace every season of my life, and i'm trying to just enjoy it to the fullest. What else can ya do?!
Big Hugs,
Queenie

It's so nice to "meet" you Linda! My youngest son starts his senior year in two weeks. Oh my gosh, thinking about kindergarten brings back memories. My son cried for about two weeks straight when I dropped him off..so, I would go back to my car and cry too. LOL Good thing he got over that!

Hi, Linda! ♥ So glad you left me a comment because I lost all my blogs in my computer overhaul!

I don't know why but I'm not looking forward to Fall yet. I usually am... Maybe because our Summer has been so mild? Or maybe because we had so much sickness last Fall and Winter? I don't know -but I'm ready for another month of Summer!

Glad things are going well...and man...already a senior.

I can't even stand the thought of Emmy headed to kindergarten...much less a senior or college...lol

Hope all is well and have a great weekend.

Hi, Linda! I felt a teeny bit guilty ordering a free catalog that I knew I would never order from but hey- I gave her free advertising- right? ☺
