It seems like it is baby season at work. We have two young ladies who are expecting their first baby and our receptionist is going to be a first time grandmother. They say it comes in threes!
So that was the kick in the rear that I needed to get my crafting mojo back on. What is the perfect craft to work on when it's cold and yucky out? Crocheting baby afghans!!! I started the first one last week and it is well over half way finished.
Don't you just love baby colors???
I went with the shell stitch because I love how lacy it looks and it's a pretty easy stitch as well.
I went to Joann's this week and bought all the stuff I needed to get started on my Spoolie Swap and with cold weather predicted this weekend, that's what I will be working on!
Have a great Thursday!
Blessings

Linda, your baby afghan looks so soft and pretty. What lucky babies to be the recipient of such a warm, snuggly gift. I need to teach myself how to do that stitch. (I am such a beginner, I only know the basic ones so far.)
Handmade baby blankets are so special! The one you're making is just beautiful, and I'm sure it will be cherished by whomever receives it!
Have fun making your spoolies for the swap, Linda!

I'm envious. I wish I had your talents. What a darling afghan. So pretty. So soft. A darling treasure.
Love that shell pattern; you're right, so lacy! Lucky gals you work with to have such a thoughtful homemade gift!
Your blanket is lovely! You are right, baby colors are so special. I'm working on my spoolies this weekend too! Looking forward to it!

Hi Linda I don't get out much to blogs these days I'm trying to drop in this morning to some I've neglected. I love the fact you can make a blanket like this. I can't but I did find one I can make and did so last night in about 1.5 hours time. I do the Minke fabric two layers and cut the edges to knot together it's fast and makes up a nice gift. Hope things are going well for you NOT getting headaches.
Hi Linda,
Oh...How pretty your baby blanket is going to be. I love shell stitch and have made several shawls using it. The variegated yarn is soothing and the mothers are going to love it. What a generous heart you have, my friend.
Thank you for your kind comments on my blog. I enjoy it so much when you stop by.
Blessings,

The baby blanket has such sweet colors. Glad you have some warm projects to work on while it's blowing outside!
