Valentine Spoolie!

Good Tuesday morning everyone.

I am really loving all the Valentine crafts I am seeing out in blogland!  I was very excited when Sue announced her Valentine Spoolie Swap.  I got in on an Easter Spoolie swap last spring and they are so fun to make.

Unfortunately, I never heard from my swap partner:(  Since they are supposed to be in the mail by tomorrow, I doubt I will.  I did go to her blog and leave her a message, she had no email, but she has only posted once since 2011, so I kind of doubt she remembers joining the swap.

Did I let that deter me from making my spoolie?  Not one bit!  I had a grand time making a spoolie that I would love.
I used some untraditional colors for Valentine's Day!  Bright,
primary colors, with the cutest pixie valentine as the center.

I used lace to cove the spool and set the spool on an old jello mold.  I them glued multi colored pom-poms around the base of the mold and use some shiny, tinsel to give it some bling.
Doesn't he have the sweetest face?
I had lots of fun making him.

I also made this little heart shaped valentine, also made from a vintage jello mold and included it in the Valentine Box Swap that I am participating in.  Linda Lou if you are looking, this is the only peek you are going to get!  LOL!
Lots of Valentine crafting going on at my house and a bit of Easter crafting too.  Hopefully tonight I will be finishing a small wall hanging that I have been working on.  Pics coming soon!

Have a happy Tuesday!

Linda

Oh, he is just the cutest spoolie! Sorry about your partner, wonder why people sign up without intention of following through. This is a good case for the "active" bloggers only rule I have seen lately on many swaps.

Love the sweet heart tag too. You have a great attitude about it all. :) Pam

Don't give up. I have had people sign up for my swaps and never hear from them. Then a week after all the others were her I hear from them. Then I had to scramble to find hearts to send back to her, usually out of my stash. So, I have learned when hosting. Since you are swapping one on one just hold on to yours and see. Sorry, that stinks.

Your spoolie is cute and colorful fun! Sorry your partner didn't pan out...You deserve a good one. Sometimes the less experienced or newby "swappers" don't know the etiquette or customs. I was new once and have learned a lot since my first swap.

You did a wonderful job on your spoolie. I'm sorry your partner didn't respond. Love your jello mold ornament too. I've been addicted to making those this year.
