Shirley gave me this platter and small bowl a couple of years ago for my birthday. She said she never used it and kept it packed away. Knowing how much I like to entertain, she gave it to me. I can't tell you how many times I have used it. It is perfect for a fruit tray. Isn't the etching beautiful? 
It really is hard to get a picture of crystal to show up well in a photo! This is the bud vase that she gave me this week, holding some of the tulips from my garden. I love the shape of this vase.
And last but not least, here is what I call a "pickle" dish. But wouldn't crimson colored cranberry sauce look beautiful in it! I am really going to miss her living nearby, but she has decided to retire and move closer to her daughter and grandsons and I know she is going to love that and if we meet half way it won't be too much of a drive for us to see each other occasionally too.Stop over at http://kellishouse.blogspot.com/ for more show and tell fun!

Oh, Linda, I understand what you are feeling. My life long closest friend moved about 1,500 miles away 7 years ago. Don't let the move change your friendship too much. You will just have to learn to make the most of your visits together - more phone calls and
e-mails and maybe even a few weekend shopping trips a year! A good friend is a rare thing so you and your friend will find a way to make it work. Your crystal is beautiful and a great representation of your friendship.
