This nativity set originally belonged to my great grandmother. There used to be a cardboard stable, but it fell apart many years ago. The Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, tree, and the angel in the right are all part of the original set. It looks like that sometime in their life someone tried to repaint the faces, and didn't do a very good job! The angel on the left belonged to my mother when she was little. Unfortunately she can't fly as she is missing a wing! The little lamb I won for rememembering Bible verses in Sunday school when I was about 6 or 7 years old. My husband made the "new" stable about 20 years ago.
I have also been doing some sewing and crafting! I crocheted some dish cloths for my sister, neice, and grandmother and I am now in the process of making some dish towels to go with then. I bought some bar towels at the store and I am embroidering them in colors to match the dish cloths. This one is for my sister, who loves cats.
I hope everyone has a blessed week!

Hello dear Linda:-) I think a lot of us aren't posting as much these days because 'tis that time of year!! I love your table setting and I'm so glad to hear your Thanksgiving went so well. Love those blue Christmas plates you found also!! I can see why the nativity set is so very special to you...it's beautiful for what it represents!! You did a terrific job on embroidering that kitty on the dish towel, how fabulous:-) xox
One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is getting out the decorations . . . it's like seeing old friends *s* Thanks for sharing some of your favorites.
I did miss you. Kept coming over to see what you were up to. Your dining room is beautiful. It looks so comfortable and welcoming. I'd like to see what your dishcloths look like. I've made them in the past and have not been satisfied with the way they wear. How bout yours?

Looks and sounds like you had a lovely Thanksgiving, so glad! I love those blue plates too, who makes them? I hope you get a giant cupcake pan too, we can tease blogland with our creations! Let me know if you find them at Michaels! Good luck!
I love nativity scenes. I have several but none with the sentimental value of yours. Beautiful. And the plates are pretty too.
Linda, I put some photos on my blog, showing some of my projects. Did you get a picture of your dishcloths?

Love your decor.
I have been neglecting the blog world a bit too.
December is so busy. Plus my grandpa just passed away so we are all going through a tough time.
I've enjoyed seeing your decorations, the blue and white plates are beautiful!
I haven't been blogging or reading blogs much either, we were away for a week, then my computer crashed! I'm trying to catch up!
